Well, after the TMRA II meeting, we headed home for some rest before going to Texas Mist for Chesty’s Birthday Bash. Only problem was, by the time we got to Texas Mist it all was over including the final shout. We did talk to Spud and his wife, and then went inside to get something cool to drink. There were a few people still around, so we said our hellos, and interestingly, several people wanted me to take their picture. After setting up an impromptu photo booth in front of the pool tables we had a photo session and then other came around for pictures, etc, etc. Maybe I should show up late for more stuff, cause this was kind of fun. I do wish we had gotten then earlier, but as far as I am concerned it worked out fine. Here are a few samples of the shots;
We went to the TMRA II (Texas Motorcycle Rights Association) general membership meeting at Hardtails in Georgetown today. We got an update on where we are and what was happening from each of the area representatives. We are also working on fund raising and communications, so we can keep going and get the word out quicker. After the meeting we sang Happy Birthday to Escondido Paul and then after all the excitement subsided the chairmen had their directors meeting while Debbie and I went inside for some grub and then headed over to Hog Ally to visit with Lisa, a friend we hadn’t seen in a while. It was good. Next stop Leatherneck Chesty’s Birthday Pig Roast at Texas Mist. Here then are a few shots from Hardtails.
We went to our June meeting for TMRA II (the rights organization) at IHOP this evening. The good news is we got the Trike training and licensing bill passed and signed into law. It all kind of happened at the last minute, but we will take it as it comes. This Saturday is the TMRA II State Rally up at Hardtails in Georgetown starting at about 10AM, with the genral membership meeting starting at 11AM. We are planning to attend. I didn’t take many pics this evening, but here are a few to tide you over to the weekend;
Debbie and I went to the monthly UCOA meeting at Texas Mist. We heard from the COC&I and Defenders that we had a great booth at the ROT Rally. We had a wonderful location, in the Arena where there is AC, and our spot was up high at the end with great visibility. Special thanks for all those that worked the booth. Debbie and I were of course off working registration and the hospitality tent, but we did make time to visit a couple of times to say hi and take some pictures.
I also had about 90 copies of my book “Moments” that was just published that I brought to give to all the UCOA Officers, Club Presidents and other club members that wanted one. It turned out to be very popular, and I was privileged to personally sign quite a few copies. The picture on the right below is from Legislative Day, and is the one I used for the cover of the book. Below the photos is a link to CreateSpace the publisher where additional copies can be purchased.
