Mr. Zimmer,
I got a kick out of reading your blog! I have used your software F-PC waaaay back to make the world’s fastest laser printer when I lived in Dayton, Ohio. You probably don’t remember me, but I remember you!
I was very surprised to see that you live here in Austin. I moved here 4 years ago. I would love to buy you some Rudy’s or Pluckers over lunch and just chat with you.
I am still programming and work for ETS-Lindgren in Cedar Park. I am a Christian too and would just enjoy meeting you.
God Bless,
Michael
Tom – I have been looking at your Metropolis blog and I am curious about one of the pictures on there. It is in post number 15. There is a picture of Rotwang leaning over Maria with the robot-Maria approaching and his arm extended backward towards her. Could you tell me where that picture was sourced – I find the quality of it rather strange and am trying to research its originality.
Hope you don’t mind me asking abou this.
Many thanks
Patrisha Reece-Davies
Hi Patrisha,
I apologize for taking to long to get back to you. Unfortunately I can’t tell you exactly where I got it. What I do remember, is that I found a Metropolis site down in Australia that had a all of these images, and in the interest of trying to make sure they stayed on the web, I spent lots of time uploading them to this blog so they would be easier to find.
If you could tell me the filename of the image you are interested in, I would be happy to do some web research to see if I can still find it in any other place on the web.
Tom,
I am very interested in what you are doing with this ministry. But I am also personally interested because of your Brown Family History Blogspot. You posted the entire edited version of the book written by my Grand Father, Oral C. Brown Sr. I am the son of Oral Carl Brown Jr. and would sure like to connect the dots a little. If you have a moment sometime I’d love to hear from you. I have a couple of other books that he wrote and would be glad to share with you some other family details. I’m the little 3 year old in one of the pictures that you posted! LOL My parents were missionaries in Haiti for 20+ years, which is where I grew up as a kid.

Thank you for following my blog. We come in all shapes and sizes, colours and nationalities, but we are still family.
You and I could not be more different in this world and I REALLY enjoy that, it is such a joy to know we are siblings in the Spirit when NOTHING in the natural would every bring us together. That really makes me laugh 🙂
God bless you and those with whom you work.
Hello Tom, You stated that all of the images from our legislative day on Jan. 23rd & 24th are Copyrighted…by Thomas Zimmer – Photo Bubba. You also stated “You are free to download and use any of my text or images for personal use (for example on Facebook), but no grant of use is implied or intended for any other purpose without written permission”. I would like to send some of your awesome pictures to the MRF for their publication–MRF Reports–which will be published in February. Is that permitted? What does 1 picture cost for any use? Thank you!
Skee, you can use any of my posted photos for the MRF publication coming up.
I don’t normally charge for use of my photos for support of the motorcycle industry or community. I do want to know who is using them though, which is why I added the stipulation.
I would of course love to have a copy of the report when it comes out.
Just wanted to say Thank You for this site! I wish there was more like you!
