We had the COC&I (Confederation of Clubs and Independents) meeting at VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) 8787 this afternoon. It was very well attended. We received encouragement to vote in our up coming elections, and as you can see from the raised hands, there were a lot of voters present. We definitely believe in exercising our rights as freedom loving citizens by voting into office, people that seek to protect out freedoms, and to vote out of office those that would take them away. I don’t want to make too fine a point on this, but a bunch people were given awards for their recent participation in our 2012 Proclamations Campaign. Ok, on to the photos;
Ok, I admit it. Though Taco Bell may not be your favorite place to eat, it holds a special place in my heart (stomach?). So we try to go there about once a week, to fill my hankering for their particular brand of Mexican-ish cuisine. Oh, yes, and this is an example of my newest lens acquisition, a 6.5mm fisheye.
Well, we had out first get together for the chaplains of the various clubs this evening at the Roadhouse in Round Rock. Now, I know that using the word unity, sets off little alarm bells in some of our heads, but this is using the word unity in the sense that we are united in Christ as christians seeking to serve the biker community. Which is exactly what we all want to do anyway. Anyhow, enjoy the pics;
UPDATE: Meetings are now the 3rd Thursday at 7PM at the IHOP in Pflugerville on the IH35 frontage just south of the Wells Branch parkway exit.
We had out monthly meeting for TMRA II at La Palapa this evening. Debbie and I started with dinner at around 6pm. I had their Beef Fajita Wrap, and it was really good. I think I will probably have that again next month. Anyway, we had a few absences, but Rob and Terrie were easily up to the task of leading the meeting. We are about to enter the season leading up to Legislative Day 2013, which will be on January 28th, and from what we heard, this should be an interesting year. Join us next month, or email me and I can get you on the TMRA II email distribution list.
Only a couple of pics this month, my usual picture of the La Palapa sign, and one after the meeting of Rob and Terrie discussing strategy. Enjoy!
While I was at the UCOA meeting this evening, someone gave me information about the Jesus Jam Fest that is happening in Canyon Lake, TX this weekend on Saturday July 21st. Sounds like a great pace to be for a free concert.
Here is their web site; www.jesusjamfest.com
And their flyer (click for a bigger version);
