This morning we headed to the Roadhouse for the start of the annual ToyRunnerz toy run. Toys are collected, and then there is a short run over to the Texas Baptist Children’s Home to deliver the goodies. It is always a good time, and this year I was privileged to give a short prayer over the group before they headed out.
Saturday evening we had the New Life Riders Christmas Party at the neighborhood community center near Robin’s house in Pflugerville. They have a very nice meeting area that works well for us, so we had our feast and gift exchange. We presented Don and Susan Potter with a nice photo plaque for their many years of service to the chapter. Lots of fun.
After putting up the lights, we headed over to CycleGear on Burnet road to help with present wrapping with other New Life Riders members. The deal was we would wrap any customer purchased item for a voluntary donation to our yearly fund raiser Run For The Son. Oh, and CycleGear gaciously provided hot dogs, chips, soda, water and cookies for lunch. Great time.
