Moments with a Biker Chaplain
Moments has been UPDATED! I added 16 additional chaplains moments for 2013 and while I was at it I added over 50 photographs in black and white.
Moments, is a compilation of the short encouraging messages I have written over this last 11 years as a member and officer of the CMA New Life Riders and as a lay Chaplain of UCOA.
It is available in printed format through Amazon at the links below;

I joined the Christian Motorcyclists Association in 1997, and I have held the position of Chaplain of the United Clubs of Austin (UCOA) since June of 2006. As chaplain of UCOA I was given the opportunity to present a “short” encouraging message each month to the members of the traditional Motorcycle Clubs (MCs) in the greater Austin Texas area. This book is a compilation of these short messages. I hope you find them encouraging.

UCOA: The Biker Experience
My second book has just been released. This one is a photo book, and contains 275 pages of photographs taken over the past 10 years of my experiences being involved with New Life Riders (CMA) and UCOA.
Full Color Bleed on White paper
BISAC: Photography / Photoessays & Documentaries
As a member of New Life Riders (CMA) and later as chaplain of UCOA, I attended hundreds of events, rallies and benefits over the past ten years. These benefits, rallies and parties were organized by the nearly one hundred motorcycle clubs, riding associations, ride groups, riding clubs and motorcycle ministries that are part of UCOA. As the self appointed photographer, I documented almost all of the events I attended. The best of those shots were posted on my blog at;
This collection of photographs represents a sample of the events Debbie and I have attended. Some are great shots, and some are include because they invoke special memories of those early years. I hope you enjoy viewing this collection, it was selected from the many thousands of photos that I have taken over the years.

Getting A “G.R.I.P.” On Life!!: (God Reflected In People) A Workbook Study of the Abiding Life
This is a book (A workbook study guide really) that I assisted a very good friend with getting published. Most of you have heard me talk about the Abiding Life, and some of you know it as the Exchanged Life, but whatever you call it, this little workbook takes you through the process of learning how to let God work through you, and how to avoid trying to “work” your way into heaven. A very laudable goal indeed since you can’t actually work your way into heaven, no matter what anyone has told you. Anyway, take a look.

Abiding Life: A Definition:
This study is intended to be a guide so each of us can say with Paul, “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” It is a study of how to experience the Abiding Life.
A Biker-Soldier’s Journey
This book was just published by a friend of mine Monty Van Horn who is part of the Chariots of Light motorcycle ministry. Monty is also the pastor of Highway 2 Heaven Biker Church. Copies of his new book should be available shortly, I am waiting for my copy. It should be a good read.
Signed Copies can be ordered from Monty on his web site here for $10.00: http://www.vhmi.org/site/dbpage.asp?page_id=180005319&sec_id=180000473&nc=1378570380308.57
or you can order it from his publisher Xulon Press here: http://www.xulonpress.com/bookstore/bookdetail.php?PB_ISBN=9781628390278&HC_ISBN
Meet the author, Monty Van Horn. He is just an ordinary person. He is a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, combat veteran, and a pastor. He is also a biker, hunter, mechanic, outdoorsman, your neighbor, a friend, and again, just an ordinary person. Monty spent 12 years in the Army and felt called to leave the military to pursue ordination as a pastor so he could return to the military as a chaplain. While those doors did not open, God did open other doors that guided him to become an ordained inter-denominational minister. The way God did that was unusual to say the least. The story is in the book. After being obedient to God and becoming ordained by God himself (you will have to read the story) Monty was still just a lump of clay on the table. God calls Monty into being a pastor of a church! I know right? God makes it clear that he wants Monty inside the church and no longer preaching just in the highways and byways! You have just got to read the story, it is amazing! So, don’t just open the front page and check the water with your feet! Dive in and get submerged immediately! If you are looking for edification, encouragement, confirmation, or just want an easy to read book, you have found it. Enjoy and may God touch you and guide you as you travel through time with Monty. Hang on as you ride back into the past then back again and what a ride it is!
