Latin Steel James is fighting Kidney Cancer, and the treatments are costing a bunch, so his brothers put on a BBQ place benefit today for him. After Debbie and I finished withQuilt Guild setup at the Pflugerville Library, we headed out to Montopolis in Austin to visit James and have a late lunch. The BBQ chicken was wonderful of course, as were the fixings that came with. We got to fellowship a bit with some friends and we were blessed to pray with James before we left. Please keep him in your prayers for complete healing.

inOur second activity today was at the Pflugerville Library. Debbie is the photographer of the Quilt Guild, and she wanted to be there during the setup for the Quilt Show that is happening tomorrow starting around 4PM. The show consists of about 40 quilts, some hand sewn and some machine sewn. I went along as an opportunity to get some artsy shots of some beautiful quilts. These photos are my personal rendering.
If you aren’t doing anything tomorrow afternoon, swing on by the Pflugerville Library around 4PM and take a look. It’s free and open to the public. I think there might also be snacks 🙂

inThe chapter is having a breakfast ride today, starting at the 1431 Cafe and heading out to Oatmeal afterwards. Debbie and I decided to go to the breakfast part, after all, we love to eat. After breakfast, we are planning to head to another benefit, so we skipped the ride to Oatmeal, but at least we actually rode the bikes today 🙂

Debbie and i attended the bike night at Hanovers this evening. To start, I wanted to highlight a few of the really nice Harley Davidson FXRs that were present at bike night. After my mini FXR photo-shoot, we head inside. The band was STRANGE DAYZ. They are a DOORS TRIBUTE BAND and they played music from the  60’s. They were pretty good too. We wandered out back, and after talking to a few people, we tried out the Fish Tacos, which were really good.
