After attending a class this morning, I headed over to the New Goal Post in Round Rock for the benefit for Angel Soto. He had an accident a while ago, and he is still recovering both physically and financially from the experience. I arrived a bit before 1pm, and headed over pretty quickly for some grub. They were serving BBQ plates with all the fixings, and it was very good. I found a table to enjoy my plate, and soon had several people coming over to say hello. As I was finishing my lunch, Marc from the Killeen CMA chapter showed up and we had a great time hanging out and talking. I haven’t seen him in a while, so it was good to catch up. After a while, the live auction started and it sounded like they were getting lots of good bids on all the biker related merchandise that had been donated for the benefit. While the auction was clearly going to go on for a while, I decided to head home. Another busy and successful day. I’m glad I went, and I think everyone enjoyed the festivities.
