An excerpt from: Thoughts on the Union with Christ by H. C. G. Moule, M.A. 1893

John 14:20 “In that day you will know that I am in My Father, you are in Me, and I am in you.”

“I am in Christ, and He is in me; I am the branch, the limb of my living Lord; He and I are, at this moment, one spirit; I belong to Him, not merely as my table and chairs belong to me, but as my hand is part of me; I am His bondservant, and I cannot realize too deeply that He is my absolute and unaccountable Master; But it is not merely as a slave is related to his master; it is rather as my finger is related to my head, a thing useless and without reason except for the purposes of the head, but it is full of life and freedom “within” that relationship”.

Truths like these are for all of us that call ourselves Christians, and they are not things only to study and talk about. They are perfectly suited to go with us into everyday life (On the highways and by ways) to give new meaning to all the little details of our lives.

So, let us take this as a central truth of Grace. To embrace servanthood as one of the “unsearchable riches” we receive in the act of entering “into Christ”.
