We attended the memorial service today for Dean, the owner of Hog Alley and Hardtails up in Georgetown. The service was attended by several hundred people, leaving standing room only in the funeral home. Dean was clearly much loved. I don’t think I ever met Dean myself, although I certainly recognized him from seeing him around Hog Alley on some of the occasions we visited there. There were lots of remembrance stories shared at the service, and even afterwords while standing around outside talking with people. He will be missed.
