I drug the bike out of the garage this evening and rode over to IHOP for the October CNew Life Riders chapter meeting. I left a little later than usual, in an attempt to avoid some of the traffic I usually encounter on the way over, and it actually worked. There was significantly less traffic at 6:30pm. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Tim (out long time and former waiter) and his wife were there. It was really good to see them, hopefully this will be the start of a monthly visit. We had our usual meeting, except for the fact that tonight was officer nominations for next year. It will be very interesting to see what God does with us next year with our new officers. There are as usual this time of year lots of activities going on. If you want to keep track of the events that I go to, you can checkout UCOTexas.org. There is a calendar there on the UCOA page that lists all the upcoming events.
My second stop was next-door at the Brockhouse bike night to visit with friends. I didn’t stay long, butI did make it around to at least say hello and take for a few with some of the Gypsys and later with Woody. All great people, but it was getting late, and I wanted to head home, so I bid farewell and enjoyed the cool ride home.
