As most of you know, Debbie and I have been gone the last couple of weeks to California, so we haven’t been able to attend any of the benefits that have been put on for the Waco “detainees” and their families. This then seemed like the perfect time to get caught up. The Bonding for Biker Benefit was put on by the Model Citizens CC (Car Club) of Austin. The funds from this event are specifically going toward Lawyer expenses. The $10 entry fee got us each a great smoked check plate with all the fixings, and three musical groups performed, and they were all very good. There was also a silent auction and a live auction. I bid on a photo that was printed and matted by another photographer, and Debbie bid on a wild steering wheel cover which you will see me modeling below. During the live auction, there were a number of really nice items, including a women’s ring that we bid on and won. As usual the fellowship was wonderful, and we finished out the day with dinner at P.TERRY’S.
