If you attended the NCOM meeting this past weekend, you may have heard Senator Brian Birdwell’s speech about surviving the Pentagon attack on Sept. 11th, 2001. It was a testimony of survival and dependancy. He gives credit for his survival to the brave, selfless people who came to his aid, and to God, for placing them in the right place at just the right time. Without their intervention he would have surely died. In the middle of horrendous events it can be hard to believe that God cares, or even exists. But, looking back, Senator Birdwell now sees God’s hand in all the circumstances of his survival. It is an amazing story. If you missed it, you might want to look it up.

Romans 8:37-39
“in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor demons, nor things present, nor things to come, nor any spiritual rulers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

I know many of you have or are going through difficult circumstance. When you feel discouraged, remember; God is still working on your story. Will you trust Him with it?
