As I sit here on Monday evening, the day when terrorists set off bombs in Boston during a marathon, I am saddened by the loss of life, and the injured. Our prayers should certainly continue to go out to God for all the families of those affected by this horrific act…. Terrorism by its very nature is intended to make people feel helpless, so we will to combat those feelings with the truth. I want to share with you a verse from the Bible;

Proverbs 10:24, 25 – What the wicked dread will overtake them; what the righteous desire will be granted. When the storm has swept by, the wicked are gone, but the righteous stand firm.

We serve a God of power, not a God of helplessness. His mighty right hand is able to accomplish all that His heart desires, and He will accomplish it according to His perfect plan. So, the people that perpetrated this horrible act, do have a lot to dread because their worst fears will come true and they will be brought to justice. We have God’s promise on that, and He won’t fail. It is our job to stand firm for freedom, and for what is right, and that is my heart’s desire. Is it yours?
