Is there a place you find yourself going, and you know you don’t want to go there, but somehow you find yourself there just the same? The place that comes to your mind might be a physical place like a bar, a liquor store, or even Fry’s Electronics, it might be a virtual place, like an internet web site, or it might be an emotional place like anger or frustration, where you go to dredge up feelings for past hurts or irritating co-workers, or, well I am sure you can fill in the blank. Pretty much anyplace you go in times of stress, loneliness, boredom or frustration other than to Christ, is what I am talking about. Now I want to remind you “It is Not About Guilt”, It is instead about how we allow the Joy of Christ in our Salvation to be taken away by the one that Only has the power to take away our Joy if we just give it to him. Now I am not stupid, and I know you aren’t either, but we do, do stupid things things sometimes by listening to the wrong voice in our head. Instead of turning To Christ, we turn to our old self and our old habits. Let me say it again, “It is Not About Guilt”. It is simply about choices, and me or you exercising our free will to choose what we know is right. My desire is to choose Christ, not drunkenness, not lust, not anger, not frustration, not greed, or anything else that will draw me away from Christ. God has given me the power to choose. So am I perfect, and are you perfect? The answer is YES, when we choose Christ.
