Have you ever felt alone? Perhaps your buds are all away at a rally, and you have to stay home and work.  Of course I am talking about more than just being alone, I am talking about FEELING you are alone, without any friends. Like no one cares.  We all know what a bad place that is to be in, perhaps you feel like that even now, in this place filled with so many people.  As a Christian, I know that I am never alone.  God is always with me.  Of course that doesn’t keep me from feeling like I “only” have God as a friend at times, and perhaps feeling like He isn’t enough.  But when I feel that way, I am denying His power to fill my loneliness with His joy.  I am denying that God is sufficient and powerful.  Of course I am personally guilty in this area as anyone else, occasionally of thinking of God in limited human terms, thinking of Him as only this person I pray to, but who can’t really help me feel better.  Sometimes I need to be reminded that God is more than human, more than just enough, more than a lot, He is everything, and more…, more than anything and anyone. The Bible describes Him as the Great I AM.  The One who was, who is and who always will be, speaking to me in His still small voice saying “I love you, I know you and I am with you always”.
