We had out December chapter meeting this evening, and of course God added some excitement by making it snow. We haven’t had snore in Austin in a while, so it was pretty exciting as you can see from the photos. After the meeting Debbie suggested we head to the park for some shots of the soccer field covered with snow. When we arrived, there were a few people building a snowman, so I took their picture and a couple of other shots for next year’s Wells Branch calendar competition.
First stop today is down to the corner to watch and take pictures naturally of the Wells Branch 4th of July parade. It was wonderful as always, with lots of floats (pickup trucks either decorated, or pulling decorated trailers). They people in the floats always throw out candy, so this is a big deal for the kids. Don’t get in their way, or you will get run over by a five year old. Those little girls and boys are quick, you can hardly even git a picture of them. Anyway, enjoy the photos. Next stop is the Wells Branch 4th of July Festival for lunch 🙂
Well, we had a good meeting this evening at Polvos – La Brissa in Wells Branch, just down the block from our house. bout a dozen brave souls contended with the weather to at ten the meeting. We talked about several topics, including NCOM. I didn’t actually remember to take any pictures during the meeting, but our hostess offered to put up one of our Share the Road signs in the restaurant, and generously posed with the sign. A good group, and good food as usual.
Well, we have moved our monthly meeting from IHOP to Palvos, just around the corner from my house in Wells Branch at the south end of Bratten Lane. I actually walked to the meeting. Debbie and i have been to Palvos several times, and we like their Fajitas a lot, so with Debbie visiting her mother in California, I ordered the fajitas and brought half of it home for dinner tomorrow night. I can only say, it is THAT good. As for the meeting, it went fine, though there was little, legislatively wise, to talk about. We did spend some useful time talking about an motorcycling information card we are working on to talk about motorcycle related subjects like how do you get a pothole fixed, or how do you go about getting a traffic signal corrected when it doesn’t trip for your bike when you want to turn left and just sit, and sit. We will be posting answers to these and other questions on the TMRA2 Facebook page at;
