We had our quarterly Presidents meeting this evening. This is where we talk about the future and announce events, and just generally have an open mike for discussion. Tonight, in addition to announcements, we heard from a local insurance agent that had very reasonable short term disability insurance available for this of us that don’t have it through our jobs. This seemed particularly appropriate because we have had a lot of people go down this past year, and it just seems like it is a good idea to invest in some insurance, if you aren’t already. You just never know when something unexpected will pop up and you end up on the ground and out of work for a month.
We got together for the Quarterly Presidents Meeting tonight at Texas Mist. This is basically an open forum for the leadership of the clubs to talk and discuss anything they want. This evening, with the ROT Rally coming up next week, it was mostly just informational about that, and the up-coming Family Campout a couple weeks later. After the meeting was some time for socializing, and since this was the first time I have hammy bike out in a while, I had Randy take a photo to prove I rode it.As you can see i got a little carried away with the HDR (High Dynamic Range) effect. Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.
We had the Presidents meeting this evening at Texas Mist. There were somewhat fewer people there this evening, but even though we had rainy conditions, most all the clubs showed up for an open forum . A number of events were announced and we were all encouraged to get out there and vote in our primaries if we haven’t already. We even had a group of independents come in from Fredericksburg to deliver some candy filled eggs for the kids Easter egg hunt coming up a week from Sunday. Finally, the True Few food drive is this Saturday at CTHD, so be sure to drop off lots of canned food, as our goal is to exceed 1000 Lbs. of food. Debbie and i will be at our chapter ride meet up point Rudy’s to load up your donations and take them to CTHD.
