WE had a really good COC&I meeting at Hanovers this afternoon. There were several really good speaker that emphasized how important it is that we each are registered to vote, so we can exercise our civic duty to vote for elected officials that will support our lifestyle. Now that might sound kind of selfish, but if you think about it for a minute, you will realize that is exactly what our representatives in government are supposed to reelected to do, that is make decisions that will be consistent with the will of their constituency (that would be US). Ok, I will get off my soap box, now you can enjoy the pictures 🙂
We attended the Bandidos 46th Anniversary Party at Hanovers this afternoon. A party with friends, and free food. What a great combination. They were cooking burgers, and they were very good. I seem to be taking less pictures these days, for various reasons, but I think you will like the ones I got. Oh, Debbie contributed too, as did Companero Bobby with that first picture of Debbie and I. Enjoy;
Debbie and I dropped in on the Jug Run at Hanovers this afternoon. The entry charge included a wonderful BBQ Chicken plate. Wow, they know how to make some good chicken. The only downside was that you can’t really get all the good stuff off the bones without getting pretty messy, so I did. Sorry, no pictures of that. Fortunately the temperature outside though warm, was pretty comfortable in the shade. So, we did get to talk with some friends, and relax after my grueling birthday (not) yesterday.
Well, today is my birthday, so I decided to take the day off, and get a much needed haircut. We found Kut Klose Barbershop in the phonebook and they managed to squeeze me in around lunch time. My barber Sterling did an excellent job. Thanks Sterling! Oh, and now that I’m 65, I even got the senior discount 🙂
I wanted to post a reminder that the Red and Gold Celebration called the Summer Sizzle is coming up Saturday August 16th at Hanovers in Pflugerville starting early afternoon. There will be Live Music, 50/50 and Door Prizes. The entry fee is $10, with a portion of the proceeds going to the J. W. Rock Foundation. We are going, and I hope to see y’all there. The New Life Riders are meeting at the IHOP at 183 and Duval at 2:30 PM to ride over to Hanovers, arriving there around 3 PM.
