As Debbie and I were returning from the Memorial service in Humble Texas yesterday, we made a stop at the Karibenos MC annual party at the New Goal Post. I have to say Karibenos MC does host a pretty good party. I especially like the sumo wrestling, though it is not without it’s dangers even though the wrestlers are covered head to foot in foam rubber. Fortunately no-one was injured, and a great time was had by all. The BBQ sandwiches were good as well, and even included peach cobblers for desert. Five stars there! You just can’t go wrong with cobbler.
We headed over this evening to the New El Goal Post for the Cycle Stylez benefit, and of course for dinner. We had BBQ sandwiches with all the fixins, punctuated by pickled jalapeños. Not too hot, but they spiced up the sandwich nicely. Then we found a place to sit, and enjoyed a nice chat with friends. They had some very nice raffle items, including it appears some canvas portraits by Tilt of some wonderful photos downtown. He does get some great shots. A good party for a good cause.
