We had the Christian Unity meeting at Bill Miller’s BBQ this evening. As usual, the food was good. we also talked about the following events;

Max Ride is Saturday at Cowboy HD.
The New Life Riders Bug Run is also Saturday up at Burger University.
At the ROT Rally outside the gate, Christian Unity will be be having free bike washes.
At the UCOA Family Campout in June (23rd-25th), Christian Unity will be providing Sunday morning breakfast and Sunday service, including a full worship band, immediately following the breakfast.

We had Max’s Ride this morning at Cowboy HD in South Austin. As you probably noticed, the weather wasn’t great, but at least the moisture was a very light, on and off sprinkle. Debbie and I took the car as we usually do these days and we arrived just before 10am. First bike out was at 11, so we registered and hung around talking to people till the program started. We both took photos of course, or the program and the bikes leaving. Afterwords we…, I mean Debbie browsed the sportys. I think there are several she would like. Then it was off to enjoy the traffic working its way south. We stopped at P. Terry’s for lunch. Yum!

UCOA Meeting for April at Texas Mist

We had our UCOA Meeting this evening at Texas Mist, and we pretty much filled the place up. I guess the good weather brought everyone out. There wasn’t much business to discuss, but we had lots of event announcements as follows;

April 18th this Saturday is Max’s Ride at Cowboy HD.

April 24-26 is the Christian Unity Conference in Round Rock at the VFW.

May 2nd Rollin Jax are having an event down at Giddy Ups. 12010 Manchaca Rd, Austin, TX 78748

May 9-11 is NCOM in Denver.

May 16th Baca is having a benefit at Hardtails in Georgetown.

May 17th is the next COC&I meeting which will be held at Twin Peaks in Waco.

Also May 17th, Escondidos MC will have an evening event at Hanovers in Pflugerville.

It is going to be a busy month.

Max's Ride

As I mentioned in my first post on Max’s Ride, Debbie and I had a great time, but we didn’t actually go on the ride itself to the destination restaurant. Well, Tilt did go on the ride, and he sent along a bunch of photos he took of the event, and then later at the restaurant, so with Michael’s permission from “TILTED PIX”, here are his shots. He has a great eye!

We joined about three hundred other folks at Cowboy Harley Davidson for the start of Max’s Ride, a benefit to raise funds for ALS research. There were lots of clubs, independents and HOG members there, and we had truly wonderful weather. After a short ceremony, some group riding instructions and a prayer by Bandido OneWire, the ride headed out to the next stop. After everyone left, Debbie and i had to go in and look at new bikes of course. No, we didn’t buy anything.
