Well, we had two activities today, the first stop was at the Roadhouse for the Shalah Dame Benefit for lunch. They had a fish fry, and I must say it was the best fried fish I have ever had. It was really great. Congratulations to who ever was doing the frying, they deserve an award. Next, we headed up to Hardtails in Georgetown for the final stop of the Tornados MC Jug Run. We dropped in briefly to Hog Alley to say hello to friends and then headed next door to Hardtails to visit with more friends for a bit. The music was definitely kicking, just a duet with a guy on guitar and a woman on drums and singing’, gut they were really pretty good. After saying hello to everyone, we were starting to melt in the heat so we headed home to the AC. I guess we are the hit and run wimpy kind of bikers. Oh, well, it’s all good. See you down the road.
Debbie and I dropped in on the Jug Run at Hanovers this afternoon. The entry charge included a wonderful BBQ Chicken plate. Wow, they know how to make some good chicken. The only downside was that you can’t really get all the good stuff off the bones without getting pretty messy, so I did. Sorry, no pictures of that. Fortunately the temperature outside though warm, was pretty comfortable in the shade. So, we did get to talk with some friends, and relax after my grueling birthday (not) yesterday.
Debbie and I headed over to Hanovers in Pflugerville this evening for the Jug Run after party. Raffle, great band, silent auction, live auction, great BBQ plates for $7 and fellowship with your closest 300 friends, all for a good cause raising money to support the J. W. Rock Christmas benefit to the poorest families in the Austin area. As you can guess by now, we had a good turnout, and everyone enjoyed the band which played from the 60’s era. They did a really good job. Ok, enough from me, here are the pics;
