We dropped in at Cowboy HD for the Cowboy Hoedown, hosted by Victory or Death MC this afternoon. It was also a benefit to help bikers in the community that are still recovering from events of May 2015. There was music, food and lots of Harley’s to drool over… I mean look at. The weather was turning warm, so it was nice to occasionally head inside to the AC to cool off. Seems like everyone had a good time.
This is the first of two events I was unable to attend Saturday. So I put out a request for photos, and I did receive a few, so here they be;
These first two are from Janice Walsh, a member of our New Life Riders CMA chapter.
We had Max’s Ride this morning at Cowboy HD in South Austin. As you probably noticed, the weather wasn’t great, but at least the moisture was a very light, on and off sprinkle. Debbie and I took the car as we usually do these days and we arrived just before 10am. First bike out was at 11, so we registered and hung around talking to people till the program started. We both took photos of course, or the program and the bikes leaving. Afterwords we…, I mean Debbie browsed the sportys. I think there are several she would like. Then it was off to enjoy the traffic working its way south. We stopped at P. Terry’s for lunch. Yum!
We had out May Christian Unity meeting downtown at the IHOP this evening. Fortunately it wasn’t raining (at the start anyway) so the trip down was pretty easy. We had a new member to the group, his name is Danny, and he is the Chaplain for Humpin People MC. Danny seems like a really neat guy, and he had some good stuff to say during out bible discussion. We welcome Danny, and we look forward to seeing him at some of the events. Speaking of events, our CMA chapter is having our BUG Run this Saturday at Burger University starting at noon, and before that, Honor Bound MM is having their Jericho ride starting at Cowboy Harley Davidson, meeting at 10AM, to ride out and pray over Austin, bas trop, and ending in Georgetown for the Bug Run. This should be a great weekend.
And finally, here is the flyer for the Bug Run again, in case you forgot already;
We joined about three hundred other folks at Cowboy Harley Davidson for the start of Max’s Ride, a benefit to raise funds for ALS research. There were lots of clubs, independents and HOG members there, and we had truly wonderful weather. After a short ceremony, some group riding instructions and a prayer by Bandido OneWire, the ride headed out to the next stop. After everyone left, Debbie and i had to go in and look at new bikes of course. No, we didn’t buy anything.
