Our second activity today was to attend the COC&I meeting and Chili Cook-off at Central Texas Harley Davidson today. There were lots of competitors for the chili cook-off, and though I can’t say I tried them all, I did try a whole bunch of them. All I tried were very good. I can’t imagine being a judge,, I just don’t know how you would decide. After the judging, we had the COC&I meeting, and then gave away the trophies. Congratulations to all the winners, especially the third place win for our New Life Riders CMA chapter. Everyone had a good time, and as much chili as they could handle.
First up today is the Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall that was visiting Pflugerville this week. We stopped in on our way to the COC&I Chili Cook-off to see if we could find a friend who died in Vietnam. We are still amazed at how many people are listed on those panels. I believe the number is over 58,000. We were able to find our friends name, and make a rubbing. Thank you to all those who provide this memorial, and to all those who gave their lives or the lives of their loved ones. We must never forget!
