Sunday Service at the ROT Rally

Since we didn’t attend the ROT Rally this year, we decided to go to the Sunday service. We learned from past years that they don’t care who goes onto the rally grounds on Sunday, so we had no trouble getting in. The rain started coming down around 8 am, so by the time we got there everything was pretty wet. Oh, well at least the rally itself had good weather. We got there early enough to help Don a little before the service with the preparations for tearing down the New Life Riders hospitality tent, but shortly we all headed off to the service. The music was good as usual, and an excellent sermon we given by Stan Martin. There is a link to the video below;

Third Stop Texas Mist for the Bonding for Bikers Benefit

Bonding for Bikers, Model Citizens CC, Texas Mist

As most of you know, Debbie and I have been gone the last couple of weeks to California, so we haven’t been able to attend any of the benefits that have been put on for the Waco “detainees” and their families. This then seemed like the perfect time to get caught up. The Bonding for Biker Benefit was put on by the Model Citizens CC (Car Club) of Austin. The funds from this event are specifically going toward Lawyer expenses. The $10 entry fee got us each a great smoked check plate with all the fixings, and three musical groups performed, and they were all very good. There was also a silent auction and a live auction. I bid on a photo that was printed and matted by another photographer, and Debbie bid on a wild steering wheel cover which you will see me modeling below. During the live auction, there were a number of really nice items, including a women’s ring that we bid on and won. As usual the fellowship was wonderful, and we finished out the day with dinner at P.TERRY’S.

First Stop Visit, Second Stop CTHD

Our first stop was Scott and White in Round Rock to visit a friend. No pictures, which y’all are probably ok with, but good news He was getting out later that afternoon.

Second stop was CTHD (Central Texas harley Davidson). We haven’t been there in a while, and today some friends from Black Sheep MM were doing free boot polishing. While we were there, Debbie had to try her hand at the bean bag toss to win a t-shirt. She did. They gave me one so we would match. We are now big fans of KOKE… The radio station that is. We also saw our friends Wes and his wife, and OT and his son. Good people.
