TMRA II Meeting for July at IHOP

We had out TMRA II (Texas Motorcyclists Rights Association) meeting this evening. We got bumped out of our usual meeting room, but we made due with a few booths and some tables just the same. Legislative activity has tapered off a bit, so this meeting focused primarily on planning for our first annual fund raiser rally for TMRA II that will be happening on October 19th. We will be raffling off a 2003 Anniversary Sportster Hugger, and we plan on having a dice run that will have a very nice first prize. Should be lots o fun, so put October 19th on your calendar. More details to follow;

UCOA Meeting for July at Texas Mist

We had our UCOA meeting for July last evening at Texas Mist. We heard about a bunch of events coming up in July and August,. Here is a list, but you will need to go to the UCOA web site at http://ucotexas.org for the full details. Especially since I may not have written all the details down correctly;

  1. July 20th – Bike Nite at Sams Town Point
  2. July 28th COC&I meeting at 1 PM at Texas Mist
  3. August 3rd Valhala Nomadic Loneriders benefit for wounded Vets in Rockdale BBQ starts at 9AM. They said you can’t miss it as you drive through Rockdale.
  4. August 10th Summer Sizzle at Hanovers starts at noon
  5. August 24th US Military Vets Bike Wash at Twin Peaks in Round Rock, didn’t catch the time.
  6. August 31st Calaveras benefit Coats For Kids at North Austin Event Center starts at noon
