We have known Shy Girl for several years, she has had a booth at the ROT Rally selling the blingy headbands, and at the rally for COC&I up at Jim’s Cycle Shop in Axtel, so she and the Cascabelas definitely get around.  Unfortunately she has come down with a serious cancer, so her club held this event to raise money for her expenses.  We really love her, and we are praying for her quick and full recovery.  After all is said and done, true healing is in Gods hands, so we don’t want to fail to ask.  Please pray with us.

Our first activity today is out to Sams Town Point for the Smokers event.  We arrived a bit after noon, and the Smokers were ready to serve up some lunch.  Debbie and I decided to partake, and enjoyed some Sausage Wraps and baked beans.  Both were great, we heard later that the sausage was from Taylor, but didn’t find out which “smoker” in Taylor did the preparing.  The beans were prepared locally by one of the Smokers, and the were very good, spicy but not too hot.  We talked to a few friends, and then headed over to our next stop, a benefit for Shy Girl down in San Marcos.  Oh, yes, and we got to see Spuds new (to him) side hack installed on his Moto Gutzy.
