Our last stop of the day was at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen for Kinny’s birthday party. I didn’t ask him how old he was, but he chose a great place to have his party. The food was out of this world, or perhaps I should say under this world, since they serve sea food. It was very good. Technically this wasn’t a biker event, but there were a lot of us new Life Riders in attendance, so there you go!
Headed up to the Austin Convention Center on north Lamar to the Calaveras MC’s Coats for Kids event. They had music and room for lots of people. Attendance seemed kind of light, considering how much room they had, but the nice thing was it was indoors out of the sun, so it was a comfortable environment, and all the bikes got to park inside. The event was supported by several of the local bike shops, in particular Southern Metal Choppers brought out several of their custom bikes for all to enjoy (looking it, not riding). Big thank you to all who supported this event, lots of kids will have warm coats for the winter!
Next we drove down to Sam’s Town Point to the Cycle Styles 1st Anniversary Party. Great food, including BBQ Chicken, Brisket and Sausage with all the fix ins’. Got to spend some quality time socializing and sharing about a new biker TV show we found called Hairy Bikers. Check it out at; http://www.hairybikers.com Ok, back to the party, This was a great place to stop for lunch on our way to the third stop coming up next. Oh, yes, and be sure to take a look at our second posting on the Cycle Styles dunk booth.
First stop today was Cowboy HD to drop off janice. She was having some bike repair done, and including an upgrade to a new Vance & Hines exhaust system. Sounds great, and we took the opportunity to look around and day dream about what new bike we might want. Debbie liked the Cream and Red Sporty! We also got to see Jean, a long time friend who we haven’t seen in a while.
